In Greek mythology a satyr, also known as silenos, was a male nature spirit with ears and a tail resembling those of a horse and exaggerated erection. They were companions of the god Dionysus and they often attempted to seduce nymphs and mortal women alike, usually with no success.
The Muses were the inspirational goddesses of literature, science, and the arts. They believed to be 9 and each one of them embodied an art and inspired creation with their graces. The cult of the Muses was also commonly connected to that of Apollo.
